The hall of fame, with its central stairs, is not only the elevated-monumental main room of the building, but also a place of theatrical, representative character. Especially on the bountiful staircase, the decay of the former ideologic designation and the connected scars of time can be made out. In this dusky hall, the stairs are „cut out“ with powerful spotlights. This deliberately theatrical stage lighting is supposed to catch the attention of the visitors and embrace them in the scene. For a short time they enter a show staircase without a show, combarable to the conception of the building – a festive entrée without festival room.
