In two staircases at the inside of the glass facade, a scale is installed. Activated by decreasing daylight, they act as oversized measures, which are meant to function as monumental symbols for the university city. In one way, they stand for man’s desire to measure and organise his complex surroundings and in another way, not to lose sight of man as the creator of measurement. An ambivalent requirement, that the groups of neurological researchers, working in the building, also have to meet.
